Ideas first, then the picture. Here a familiar expression gets taken literally: in Cakewalk a slice of cake has grown legs and left on heels. A grinning black cat plans its Friday the 13th with a ladder under its arm. A roaring cat lands somewhere between heraldry and complete chaos. Drawn loosely and printed on fine art paper in editions of five, these are the works where the joke and the image are the same thing.
