Sometimes, a painting begins with an assignment to yourself. This is one of those works.

It was an invitation to slow down, to let colour, movement, and composition breathe. A prelude: a first note, a setting of tone. In soft hues and a quiet rhythm.

The added motion makes this piece a continuation of Prelude A. They can be ordered seperately, or as a diptych.

Prelude B was originally created from a desire to capture stillness, and then from a longing for movement, for dance, for music.
