Happiness is a must

I want you to be as happy with your new art as I am to see it leave for its new home! Therefore I will do all that is humanly possible to make sure this is the case.

Copyright

All copyright of every single image I have ever made are the property of Tim Hupkes Art. This includes all images on the websites Tim Hupkes Art and Moonscape Arts and everything on my social media accounts.

It is illegal to reproduce and sell my work, art and otherwise, without my explicit permission.

This means that if you bought a digital file (such as a pet portrait) you cannot reproduce this to sell.

In case you bought an art license, please take into account that the copyright still is mine. Conditions of the licence are sent with the digital file.

Discounts

Please note that any discounts apply to the artwork but not to shipping unless specifically stated.

Also discounted artworks can unfortunately not be refunded.

Shippage & Delivery

In general placed orders are shipped within 3-5 working days (with the exception of i.e. public holidays). In case of a commission the painting will be sent within 3-4 weeks from moment of ordering.

Although rare, a parcel can be delayed by unforeseen factor such as extreme weather or postal strikes. I will let you know if this is the case. Obviously I will do all that I can to get your artwork to your doorstep as soon as possible.

International Shipping

I send art all over the world. You can see what shipping costs are at checkout. I do my best to keep an estimate handy before buying, so you can make a guess what the total might come to beforehand.

Your artwork will be sent with track and trace

Unfortunately I can only estimate how long your parcel travels; in the end the postal trajectory is basically gambling, although in general most countries have fairy reliable estimates.

Customs and taxes

Any customs and taxes are not included in the price of the artwork and shipping. These can differ greatly, depending on the country and state of the shipping address. Also please hold into account that it is possible – albeit a slim chance – your artwork may be held up to 6 weeks at customs. It rarely happens and is something I unfortunately cannot control in any way, shape or form.

Payment method

Paymend methods include iDeal (Netherlands), Klara (a.o. Germany), Apple Pay, credit card and PayPal. Should any issue arise: hesitate not! Contact me and I will fix it. Your bank may or may not add an additional fee for transactions in case of international transactions. Again – this is out of my hands entirely.

F.A.Q.

How long does it take?

In general it take 3 to 7 days to fulfil an order. It will then be shipped out. Shipping time depends on your location. Usually this estimate is accurate:

  • USA: 3-4 business days
  • Europe: 6-8 business days
  • Australia: 2-14 business days
  • Japan: 4-8 business days
  • International: 10-20 business days\

Where does it come from?

I work with a company that has dependances worldwide. This means that it depends on where you are, a.k.a. where the order will be shipped to, to decide where it will be made (spoiler alert: as close to your home as possible!)

If you buy a painting I am sending it myself, this will take about the same to get to you but will be shipped within 1-2 business days. In case of a commission, please hold into account that fulfilling the order will take up to 4 weeks.

Will I be charged customs for my order?

Alas this is not in my hands. Additional customs and tax fees can occur on international orders. Since this is out of my control I advice you to contact your local customs office to find out more about this in depth. Customs policies differ stark from country to country so it is impossible for me to say anything about this.

I should have got my order by now, what can I do?

  • Please check your shipping conformation email to check for mistakes in the delivery address.
  • Check if your neighbours have seen it (and perhaps kept it! ;-))

If neither of these are the case, please contact me via tim@timhupkes.com with your order number and I will sort it out.

Orders

How are your products made?

Since I work with a print-on-demand drop shipper for art prints and merchandise, your order will be manufactured as close to where you live as possible. This means it is efficient and less demanding on the environment.

Can I track my order?

Yes you can. You will receive a tracking link via email as soon as your order ships out. Should you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at tim@timhupkes.com.

Return Policy

I got an order but it’s not mine or damaged… what now?

I am sorry if the product you ordered arrived damaged. Please let me know within 7 days of receiving and send me a few photos of the damage (both package and product) at tim@timhupkes.com. Mention your order number and any details you may have about your order. I will get back to you as soon as I can!

Returns, refund, replacement

Should you receive a misprint, damaged or defective item please let me know within 7 days. If the parcel gets lost in transit, please let me know within 30 days or the estamated delivery date. Obviously if I made a mistake, you will get a replacement at my cost.

I do not offer exchanges in different sizes or colours. If in doubt, you can send me a photo of the room/wall you want my art in and I will make a mock up photo for you for free. Please use tape on the wall in the correct measurements, so I know where you want it and so you can see what the real size will look like.

Return policy art prints

I offer a return policy on art prints on paper that are not framed and on merchandise such as cards and calendars. There is however a 20% re-stocking fee for prints because I try not to carry prints in stock.

There is no return policy on framed prints, original paintings and merchandise such as mugs because they are too fragile. I pack them amazingly well to assure safe arrival at your place. I try to keep their travels to a minimum though since shipping can be a dangerous game. Also t-shirts can not be refunded, because I haven’t the room to keep clothing stock.

Make sure the art/merchandise you send back is in its original package and make sure it is registered. Please make sure to let me know and wait for my approval before sending it back! It must be in the same state you received it. Price of shipping back is of your responsibility. Shipping costs I paid to get the artwork to your door cannot be refunded, unless I delivered the wrong artwork to you.

Please note I will deduct 20% of the original price of the artwork since I prefer not to keep stock.

Return or cancelation of commissions (such as a custom made classic or pet portrait)

Because this is custom made art, it is not possible to return or cancel digital files and paintings that are in this category.

Damaged in transit

If your artwork arrives damaged, please let me know within 5 days of arrival. Send photos of the damaged piece and of the packaging to tim@timhupkes.com. I will contact you as soon as I can to make this right!
